GALVANISED! FESTIVAL 2008 Kaleidoscope presents... [BUY TICKETS]! We've been invited to curate an evening of this year's Galvanised festival and have put together a very special line-up for you. Taking place on October 8th at the lovely new venue, Cafe OTO, we'll be presenting some of our favorite solo acts all on one bill. Each of the musicians are renowned for their unique and innovative approaches to solo live performance & will also present specially chosen projected films and images to accompany their shows. There's sanso-xtro, who is dropping by on her micro-tour, taking in Tokyo, Lisbon & Holland. She'll be playing all-new unreleased material and a few classics from her Sentimentalist LP on Type, somehow playing percussion, guitar, synth and fx simultaneously. Arch M who just released the label’s first Aether series edition will perform songs from the forthcoming Moon Tan vinyl on the Cavern label. The fantastic Dan Hayhurst, aka Sculpture, brings it with tape loops, CD players, luscious delays, a live zoetrope-style visual accompaniment and a large dose of panache. 4tRECk's set up is reminiscent of a traditional one man band, yet the tropical twists and turns of the songs he coaxes out of simultaneously played drums, guitar, vocals and more are anything but trad. Songs from Alexander Tucker's latest release of deeply affecting layered vocal and guitar loops on ATP Recordings will also get an airing with the help of his infamous stack of pedals and fx.
