Kaleidoscope
was set up to make sporadic events and release new music, small
print editions and video. The inaugral events at London's Whitechapel
Art Gallery in 2006 could be looked at as something of a mission
statement - providing an alternative forum for the presentation
and reception of interesting and singular work across music, sound
art, video and installation. With the current focus set on the publishing
side of things, in the coming months, Kaleidoscope will follow up
the well-received patten album 'There were Horizons'
with CD albums from Nina Canell & Robin Watkins as 'Champagne
Diamond/The Brilliant Light', Jocelyn Noir's 'ALAK' (previously 'Alas, alak,
Alaska!'), and an EP by 'Heather Society'.
The first Kaleidoscope compilation entitled '14 Ways to push
air' will also be released this year.
